Explosive Fishing Action and the River Starts Earty

Well things are heating up on every front right now. We are finally looking at some decent weather and the fishing is on fire.

Lake Wabamun

This lake like others had a slow start but has just turned on hard and there are big fish being caught. This past Sat. saw our three boats land over 300 fish for the day, incredible non-stop action. There were 3 fish over 40 in. caught and several in the 33-38 in. range. If you have never fished this incredible pike fishery please give it a go, you won’t regret it. remember to be prepared for a big fish like the photo of our one guest called “The Stance” LOL.

Jackfish Lake

Once again this lake is a hotspot for walleye and good numbers of them. The color of these fish shows just how healthy they are. Our daily average has been between 60 and 80 fish with all weight class fish present. Always a well sheltered lake for those windy days.

For the first time in three years we are able to get back on the river in July. I was out testing the waters at the worst time of the day and caught a good number of goldeye and a few walleye. This is great as now there is three options for everyone to fish. All the fair weather fishermen this is the time for you to check out the river valley, it is incredible and a wide variety of fish to be caught. Fly fishermen the goldeye and mooneye are sucking the surface like crazy.

Digger Anchor

If you were ever looking for that perfect anchor take it from me there is no better then “Digger Anchor”. These anchors are unique in two ways. First the digger design pushes the flukes over for quick penetration and the release system allows you to lift your anchor with very little resistance and flushes off almost all debris. We have used these anchors for over ten years and in fact we introduced The Fishin’ Hole to the product. They are the sole suppliers of Diggers fine line of products. Remember to pick up the Digger cleat when you get your anchor. These anchors are built to hold.

Remember to book Early
